Behind the Scenes

Montreal will always be my home. It's where I grew up, where my family is from, and where I began my career in the fashion industry. It's been quite some time since I've been there (usually Rebecca and the girls would make business trips to Montreal while I would head to the west coast), so last week's visit was long overdue and it brought back a lot of great memories.
The Vogue Loews Hotel:
I've always loved the Vogue hotel and I stay there anytime I'm in the city. They can accomodate any request and they are dog-friendly. My pup enjoyed the "Bow Wow Beef Tenderloin" and he was super-cozy on their fluffy dog bed. I also love the decor - they always have beautiful floral arrangements around the hotel and they have lots of fashion-centered art and photography in every room.
Tavern on the Square:
Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I used to have many after-work dinners there with clients, friends and family, and I enjoyed many lunches on their patio with my father, one of our weekly rituals. They have something on their menu to suit everyone's tastes from pasta dishes to seafood to french cuisine, and they have the best daily specials. At Tavern I always feel at home.
Abe and Mary's:
Abe and Mary's is a unique lifestyle concept store created by my aunt and named after my grandparents - Abe ad Mary Claman It is a destination on Jean Talon and they're known for their fabulous cafe which offers home-made salads, sandwiches and baked goods with a focus on gluten-free health-conscious options. I picked up several beautiful cashmeres from Rachel Zoe, Vince and Rebecca Taylor and what I love best of all is that they're dog-friendly. My pup had the time of his life visiting the store!
