Born and raised in Los Angeles, Grace Chon originally planned to pursue a career in graphic design after her acceptance to the Art Center. She aspired to follow her love of fashion and instead enroll in the fashion program at OTIS. During her senior thesis at OTIS she had the opportunity to be mentored by design critics Nike and Vera Wang where she was awarded the Silver Thimble award.
While attending college, Chon interned at a variety of different companies to get a wide scope of experience in the fashion world. She held an internship for a buyer for Issi, a boutique in Beverly Hills as well as in the visual merchandising department at Gucci. Discovering many different sides of fashion, she also maintained a part time job working as a fit model.
Chon started designing in 2007 for the line Zooey, where she then proceeded to work with the label 291 Venice in 2009. Two years later she started Love, Zooey, creating a brand where she could bring her own creative design to effortless casually chic collections.
