I must have been around twelve when I first watched "The Thomas Crowne Affair" with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. Even then, I was instantly drawn to the effortless elegance of Russo's character, Catherine Banning, so reminiscent of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's effortlessly elegant street-style.

Russo's character was styled by Kate Harrington, who previously worked with icons Truman Capote and Herb Ritts. She selected pieces from classic American designers such as Halston and Michael Kors for Celine, highlighting the timeless appeal of wardrobe staples like the classic white button-down shirt, the cashmere sweater and the little black dress, always paired with elevated accessories such luxurious fox furs, pearls and kid leather gloves .

To this day, Catherine Banning remains one of my "fashion in film" icons.
