As most women can attest, it can be quite the challenge to look polished and elegant in the intense summer heat, particularly during the daytime. In order to stay as cool as possible without compromising style, I've always favored un-fussy, easy pieces. Whether dressing for a garden party or a rooftop lunch, I tend to gravitate toward classic silhouettes in light-weight fabrics, from tailored poplin dresses and crisp white cotton shirts to colorful linens, and statement stripes.
